One Shepherd has a pretty significant required and recommended equipment list. However, it is all there for a reason. Below are their equipment lists and the one I put together for myself. Mine is a bit more involved simply because I know what I need to keep myself going in a field environment (mostly due to attending Operation Eastwind).
Below the lists are some things I didn’t bring that I’ll be bringing next year to make my stay just that much more enjoyable.
- Camp chair
- Second tarp so I can have a ground sheet under my cot
- UHF/VHF radios
- More scooby snacks! No, we’re fed plenty – these are simply for morale on the FTX.
Last but not least, it’s not noted on my packing list but one of the most important things you can bring is a pair of earplugs for sleeping. A good night’s rest is a must!
Again, thanks to Robin Werling for the use of his photos!
