I’ve finally come to a point where I can consider my testing of the Pantac Tactical Messenger Bag complete. I have used it on numerous trips, as an EDC bag and for numerous other uses. It has served me well mostly due to one major modification. As you can see in the photo at right, I have removed the top panel of the main bag. As you can see in the photo below, the main body used to be accessed by one single zipper. This limited the size of the items I could fit inside.
The modification has really opened up the possibilities for this bag (pun intended). I chose to leave small flaps on either end of the bag to further protect contents inside when the main flap is closed. Ultimately, I have replaced this bag in the carry on/EDC roll for another with a bit more organization but that does not decrease it’s value. My overall conclusion of the Pantac Tactical Messenger bag remains – I believe the solid color bags are a fair deal for the price and I greatly look forward to the 2.0 version of the bag with some of the minor details smoothed out.
The Pantac Tactical Plate Carrier (TPC) is a simple, reliable, low profile plate carrier that is very quick to don and doff. I find much value in it’s simplicity and reliance on proven methods along with it’s lifetime warranty.
The Pantac Tactical Chest Rig is an all encompassing load bearing option that despite it’s lack of MOLLE, is extremely diverse in the equipment it can carry. As with all other Pantac USA products, it is covered by their lifetime warranty which makes it just that much more attractive.
The Pantac MAP hydration pack is a versatile sustainment pack with numerous features which make it one of the most popular assault pack designs around. As with all other Pantac USA products, it is constructed completely from Cordura and ITW buckles and carries a lifetime warranty. Also included with this pack are a 2.5 liter hydration bladder and tube cover.
The Pantac Integrated Chest Rig is a well built piece of kit with 6 integrated mag pouches, an admin pouch and a hydration sleeve in the back panel. However, it comes in at almost twice the cost of my beloved Condor Modular Chest Set. So how does it stack up?
My purpose in acquiring this belt kit was to provide my customers with a base for a lightweight kit as well as a supplemental belt kit to be worn with a vest, chest rig or plate carrier. From what I have seen, this belt will fill both roles perfectly and it can be purchased here.
