Despite severe weather hitting Pineland from all sides, the winter lull is over and the fighting season is back in full swing. Pineland forces have been able to make some serious headway and have incited several pitched battles.
Pineland forces opened the new year with a fresh offensive into the heart of their nation. Sources say they are in the planning stages of a full scale invasion targeting major population centers, but Coalition representatives claim this is impossible. Continue reading “Milsim Sunday Update 1-25-15”
Over the course of November, the Coalition has steadily patrolled the civilian centers of Pineland. However, rumors have been circulating that one of Pineland’s top scientists may have escaped the region and may still be allied with the Pineland resistance. The Coalition has stated that is has an open investigation searching for various native Pinelanders of particular interest. When questioned on the topic, a Coalition spokesperson ignored the question and went on to comment on the Coalition’s efforts to reinforce civilian infrastructure. In particular, they have been making some serious upgrades to the local power plant. The Coalition has gone on to say that they have killed or captured a large number of Pineland insurgents this month, preventing untold numbers of civilian casualties.
Pineland resistance fighters blame the Coalition for a large blast at the power plant this month. They have produced photos showing slain Coalition soldiers carrying bomb making materials and as proof. However, certain back channel assets have leaked that Pineland recently acquired knowledge of how to build small dirty bombs which supports the rumors coming out of the Coalition. Furthermore, amateur video footage shows Pineland troops transporting computer equipment that looks to be damaged from an explosion. We have not been able to obtain a copy of this footage as of this point.

As the week draws to a close, the Coalition forces retain a firm grasp on the major population centers of Pineland. The Pineland is fractured and has been forced into the more secluded regions, but it is far from destroyed.
This weekend the Coalition launched an all out assault on Pineland. Our sources embedded with U.S. troops reported that units from the 2nd Special Forces Group jumped into Pineland several weeks ago and began working with local assets. Photos that have since streamed from the region show defensive preparations made in small villages and camps throughout rural Pineland.
Despite what the majority of senior military analysts projected, the Coalition did not initiate a full scale assault in to Pineland this month. Instead, very little seems to have taken place. A few videos have been leaked on the internet, apparently taken by forces of one side or another. They appear to show some sort of reconnaissance team moving through Pineland according to experts. We have taken the liberty of stringing these segments together for your enjoyment.
In a shocking turn of events, Pineland officials have released photographs of what appears to be dead coalition soldiers inside Pineland and claim to have killed over 100 Coalition soldiers. As a result, Pineland has become even more resolute in their stance on social and political issues and has sworn to stand to the last man against any foreign invasion.
A Coalition spokesperson stated they had only recently began operating within Pineland but that they had not lost a single soldier to date. They also stated Coalition forces had effected a blockade of Pineland’s only deep water port and prevented one of Pineland’s tactical missiles from being launched into a civilian neighborhood.
Furthermore, Pineland officials continue to claim that they have a Coalition soldier in custody but have yet to release proof. Experts theorize that a private deal is being worked out for his or her return.
Reports of conflict are flooding out of Pineland this month.
Enter Pineland: a fictitious nation ruled by a military dictator intent on imposing his political and religious views on his nation. The army of Pineland has sworn allegiance to this dictator and regularly commit severe human rights violations against their fellow countrymen. Rumors of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons have filtered out of Pineland as well as rumors of international terrorist training camps.
